The Crossing of Species, by Bob De Graaf

Bob De Graaf has created a new order of species by combining animals and objects. Displayed in the style of a scientific catalogue, the work draws parallels between nature and mundane household trinkets, creating a witty effect. “This is a catalogue of different parts of animals and objects that I found in my surroundings. My collection can be used to create a new order of species. By using the natural lifecycle of animals in everyday objects an evolutionary up-cycle can replace linear production systems. By breeding animal-like objects or object-like animals, we can construct a practical class of species.”

You can find a couple of more photographs of The Crossing of Species here. Many thanks to Bob De Graaf for your kind words and permission to post the photographs!
