Stunning Sow ‘n Sow X Jackie Anderson Pop Up Pots

Sow 'n Sow X Jackie Anderson Pop Up Pots

When two of our favourite things come together, art and plants, it’s hard not to get excited! We’ve collaborated with artist Jackie Anderson and the results are amazing.

Introducing our new Sow ‘n Sow X Jackie Anderson Pop Up Pots. Featuring hand-painted acrylic artwork by Newcastle based artist Jackie Anderson, these origami style pots, which assemble with a quick pop will add a burst of colour to your home. Jackie’s artworks are intuitively created with a focus on abstracted landscapes. Characterised by vivid colour and bold shapes, her art aims to explore the duality of time from moments in her life.

Available in three sizes, you can plant directly into Sow ‘n Sow Pop Up Pots or use them as a pot plant sleeve. They are completely waterproof and allow water to drain through the base of the pot for healthy plants. If using inside your home, simply place a plate underneath the pot to catch and contain the water.

Did you know our Pop Up Pots divert waste from landfill?

The 100% recycled non-toxic polypropylene material they are made from is produced via a closed-loop system that recycles post-industrial waste such as manufacturing offcuts and used consumer products including flight safety cards and educational display folders that, if not recycled, would be sent to landfill.

With plastic waste levels reaching their peak, we feel that it’s more important than ever before to rethink waste and move towards a circular economy.  Closed loop systems that support a circular economy approach whereby the waste from existing products is turned into new products that re-enter the local supply chain is important for a sustainable future.

By manufacturing our Pop Up Pots from 100 per cent recycled materials, we’re actively diverting waste from landfill and using it to create new durable and usable consumer products. We’re keeping the materials circulating in the loop for longer to maximise and extract as much value from it and minimise its environmental impact.

The material used to make Sow ‘n Sow Pop Up Pots is the only Australian‑made plastic sheet that is 100 per cent recycled and 100 per cent recyclable, and the world’s first 100 per cent carbon neutral plastic sheet certified by the Carbon Reduction Institute. The material is durable which means our Pop Up Pots can last a lifetime with care, but at the end of its life it can be placed in the recycling bin to be made into new products with little material degradation or waste creation, thus continuing the closed-loop system and keeping the resource in use.

We’re saving the equivalent of 22,500 plastic bottles from landfill

To illustrate the positive impact our Pop Up Pots made from 100% recycled polypropylene have on the environment, we’ve calculated the equivalent plastic waste each pot saves from landfill.

Small Pop Up Pot = 1 x plastic 600ml bottle saved from landfill

Medium Pop Up Pot = 1 1/2 x plastic 600ml bottles saved from landfill

Large Pop Up Pot = 2 x plastic 600ml bottles saved from landfill

Through the sales of our new collection, we will divert the equivalent waste of 22,500 plastic 600ml bottles from landfill.

Now you can own a piece of art that also diverts waste from landfill. Shop Sow ‘n Sow X Jackie Anderson Pop Up Pots here.
